How important are hairstyles in the workplace - Being successful in the workplace, takes a lot of hard work and tenacity. Arriving on time, expressing your career goals and dressing the part are all important but, how important is your hairstyle?
An article written by Jet magazine (2001) suggested that ethnic hairstlyes are generally considered unacceptable in a traditional business setting and that wearing such styles will probably hinder a person's upward mobility. This applied to male and females.
